1981 Rolex Submariner 16800 MK1 "Matte Dial" Vanilla Patina + New Service

Excellent Rolex Submariner 16800 with the quite rare MK1 "matte dial" and pleasing vanilla patina from 1981. It's a so called transitional-era Submariner, as Rolex began using sapphire crystals on their watches while the early examples of this reference were still fitted with matte dials. This combo makes it a great piece for every collector. It has been fully serviced by our watchmaker and is ready to enjoy.
 
Serial: 71XXXXX (1981)
 
Case: Very good and sharp case with thick and even lugs. Showing moderate wear from use.
 
Dial: Original MK1 matte dial in perfect condition with a pleasing vanilla patina. The original tritium hands are matching great. The correct insert is in excellent condition with the tritium pearl in tact.
 
Bracelet: Original 93150 oyster bracelet with 501b endlinks in very good condition and only light stretch for it's age. It comes with 11 links + diver extension, clasp code: F (1981).
 
Movement: Recently serviced by our watchmaker, running at COSC.
