Razor sharp, unpolished Cartier Santos Octagon 2966 “swiss only” dial, coming with it’s box and papers from 1988. The guarantee card is issued by Metro, who was an official retailer of Cartier in the 1980s. Because of an ongoing lawsuit between Cartier and Metro back then, Metro had it’s own guarantee cards, covering the manufacturer’s warranty. Still not as popular as the Santos Carrée, it’s a very affordable midsize Cartier with it's unique octagonal shaped case, measuring 30mm. The distinctive “screwed” bezel as well as parts on the integrated bracelet are executed in 18k yellow gold. The automatic movement has been recently fully serviced by our watchmaker.
Case: Excellent unpolished case with it’s factory chamfers clearly visible, showing moderate wear from use. The brushed 18k bezel remains unpolished as well with normal signs of wear.
Dial: Original enamel roman "swiss only" dial in flawless condition with a nearly perfect lacquer surface and no visible patina.
Bracelet: Original MK1 integrated Santos bracelet in excellent condition, showing only very light stretch, if any. It comes with 20 links in total, fitting up to a 18cm wrist.
Movement: The automatic movement has been recently fully serviced by our watchmaker, running strong.
Accessories: Original “Metro” guarantee card (dated 1988), box, booklet.
